The Eureka Springs Parks and Recreation Commission

The Springs Committee is comprised of nine members that meet monthly:  Barbara Harmony, Paula Koch, Jamie Froelich, Jim Helwig, Joe Scott, Kate Cooper, Patrick Pruitt, Paula Adkins, and Bruce Levine, Director of Eureka Springs Parks and Recreation Commission. Since the 1880's Eureka Springs has been known as "The City that Water Built".  This heritage challenges us to keep the springs in the forefront of public awareness. Restoration and preservation of our springs is an opportunity to pass on the quality of life of Eureka Springs to those who follow us. To highlight the importance of the springs, in 2005 a Springs Committee was formed by the Eureka Springs Parks and Recreation Commission with representatives from the Preservation Society, Planning Commission, and other interested individuals.
